Do We Really Know How to Love and Be Loved?

Perhaps this post will be misunderstood and I’ll get some blow-back from the usual uneducated and/or misinformed folks. I’m okay with that. This is how we learn. I’ve known some Imams (definition: any of various rulers that claim descent from Muhammad and exercise spiritual and temporal leadership over a Muslim region) who are some of the most caring and kind people I know. There is no need for fear, period.

I participated in an Interfaith gathering a couple of years ago that included exemplary leaders – Imam, Rabbi, Hindu, Christian and Indian. It was obvious we all had the same goal of honoring each other and everyone in the spirit of unity.

There is a need to learn how to get along if we are ever going to experience a peaceful world that supports life for everyone. Perhaps when we can get beyond the perceived religions separation, we can learn to behave like real human beings as one people on one planet, sharing resources like grown-ups.

As is mentioned in the video, it isn’t the ‘law’ but the people who misinterpret or even try to ‘make’ laws based on their own bias. There is no ‘God-given’ rights to doing harm to anyone or anything. That is all man’s doing through their false and misguided belief systems.

All books written by man to justify their choices. It has absolutely nothing to do with LOVE. We all, by our most basic nature, want to love and be loved. We choose not to behave that way.

That is why we must choose to honor the essence of all teachings… to love and be loved. To stand in that truth is tantamount to changing how we behave toward each other. How we example that is what inspires others to do the same.

Perhaps I’m an outlier in that way, I literally gave up my life to know truth and the result was a gift of an experience of that feeling, to know what real unconditional love was like, and to bring that back into this world and live accordingly.

Bridging Boundaries for Beneficial Results

“Independent thinking has been the foundation of growth for America and will restore our country’s leadership – not from power, technology or wealth – but from making sense common in doing the right things toward a better future for all in the 21st Century. We think the Independent Party of Arizona can do just that for our future.” Bruce ‘Zen’ Benefiel, MA, MBA

Challenge to Change

Removing Liabilities, Limitations and Excuses in the service to Arizonans through the Independent Party of Arizona. Several years ago the Arizona Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development held its annual conference with the theme – Challenge to Change: Removing Liabilities, Limitations and Excuses in the Workplace. It was the touted as the best leadership conference in over a decade. We want to apply that philosophy appropriately toward the State of Arizona.

Making Sense Common… what does that mean? When all the biased, personal and corporate profit-driven agendas fall away, what truly needs to be done emerges… and the truth shall become self-evident. This self-evident agenda, one that creates harmony among people and planet, is our mission to discover. Let’s restore the Faith, Love and Trust we have in our humanity and ability to work together – a new millennial mindset.

Establishing an Independent Party Convention early in 2018 with the same theme is perhaps one of the greatest opportunities facing Arizona’s Independent constituency. Independents may not all align with our intention, yet independent thinking is our foundation. Join the Independent Party Meetup and let’s follow Socrates admonition…

The secret to change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.

Independent Party of Arizona

az independent party, independent party of arizonaThe Independent Party of Arizona bridges parties as well as cultural communities and is what America was set up to do. Arizona has the golden opportunity to set the standard for coalescing multiple concerns and factions toward a cohesive and collaborative administration. The result of such would change the course of current deficits and inability to serve our population in so many ways. It would also catapult the use of alternative energy production through the combined efforts of communities and commercial development.

Our state is ripe for developing carbon sequestration efforts using horticulture solutions such as hemp or kenaf, proven carbon sponges with low water requirements and cash crops that have high commercial value. Bridging proven alternative and/or holistic health care programs and insurance providers will ultimately bring health care costs down and reduce costs for the State and YOU. A serious look at the fiscal policies and organizational waste of the State is imperative, with savings that could easily be in the tens of millions of dollars. All it takes is making sense common.

It is time for the Independent Party in Arizona to create seminal views of administering resources and demonstrate what collaboration and partnering can really accomplish! Arizona can lead the way, rising from the ashes because we know what is possible – people, places and things aligning for the good of all people and our environment.

The Independent Party is NOT recognized by the State of Arizona – yet. It is our mission  to have the required 20,086 signatures and validations of them by May 1, 2018.

August 28, 2018 (Primary) will have the  Independent Party of Arizona on the ballot.

We need 24,000 signatures by May 1, 2018

arizona independent partyWe can start in Arizona by changing the state of our State and demonstrate we are not willing to remain at the bottom of the educational ranking in this country. We can demonstrate that our production of food and textiles is not hindered by our climate and can even be part of the carbon sequestration solution. We can demonstrate that Arizona’s alternative energy production equals and/or exceeds traditional methods.

School funding and teacher retention is a critical issue. We can find answers and implement solutions. Wind and solar farms are a big deal today, creating a cleaner future. Arizona is ripe for high-level solar power production. We can demonstrate that our health care system can and does meet the needs of every citizen, including our veterans, without a burden. We can mobilize a public already receiving benefits.

We can be the leaders, but we have to make the effort and learn how to work as one. That is our greatest challenge – to work in harmony for people and planet. We’re different. The Independent Party of Arizona will drive the future of politics, serving Arizonans and leading us toward a brighter 21st Century.

It is painfully obvious that our country is in need of leadership that can move the public concerns to the top of the priority list and actually serve the people. Those concerns include healthy food (GMOs have been banned by many countries already), renewable sustainable energy (research shows that fracking and old carbon-based energy sources are destroying our environment), new millennial education (children need a holistic approach to education, not a test-driven performance outcome) and appropriate health care for all (cost isn’t an issue, people are the issue). There are ways to adjust and thrive in the new millennium, but the current system isn’t providing those ways.

In just 6 (six) years the House and Senate can be completely overhauled – gutted, remodeled or renovated. It will probably take much longer – but it is possible with your help… each of US. No one is left out and everyone has a voice and a vote. It’s time we exercised that right and made use of the power of the people. It is not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. We don’t need a civil war again to take action and make things better.

What other choice do we have? We are a peaceful, purpose-driven society that abhors inhumane treatment of others. Corporations have taken over and people have become inhumane towards each other. It’s time to stand up and live the dream – independence for all with a sense of harmony among people and planet. In this way independence becomes interdependence and we all benefit, together as a United States of America. Then we can truly lead the world.

Relating to the Independent Party of Arizona, of course we think lofty goals are unreachable at first. How many times have we seen people of vision, even just a few, achieve the impossible? Disruptors and innovators are taking the planet by storm, changing business models and interactive behaviors for the better, developing global teams to address systemic challenges. We can do the same for creating a working government that is truly by and for the people.

To an outsider, America seems pitiful in the way money and power rule. At least in the way it is happening now. Everyone seems to be aware of the fiasco and scared to do anything about it. Fear rules and the population becomes diminished in capacity. We need courageous, ethical and moral leadership that commands respect by their actions, not by their money or power. Just begin thinking what that might be like.

Now this is going to seem a little bit of a stretch for most of you. Most everyone is familiar with the ‘Law of Attraction,’ right? The eyeballs are rolling now. Okay, so there is a lot of hype around it, too, but the principles are sound – what you think and feel strongly you will attract. Consider applying that to the situation at hand. Intend that the right people doing the right things come forth and find support from the masses.

Quantum entanglement, spooky action at a distance as Einstein called it, is a real thing. Science has proven that electrons can be excited in the same way at a distance. Protons, neutrons and electrons are the building blocks of the material world. We have a mind, consciousness in embryo if you will, that science is proving is more powerful than we can imagine, yet it is our imagination that lacks power.

Mindfulness and meditation has been proven to cause a beneficial effect on populations, for some time. With just a little stretch of the imagination, these profound effects can be engaged with a larger population, like America. We often think we need to ‘do’ something and yet ‘focused thinking’ is actually doing something. This country is still a huge experiment.

Scientists at Los Alamos found out decades ago, a half-century actually, that their thoughts affect the results of their experiments.  We usually don’t think about thinking, our thoughts run rampant throughout the day. Most of us aren’t disciplined enough to pay attention to how we think, let alone what we think. What if we were?

We’re asking that you just have a moment of clarity occasionally, intending for the future to be better and the right people coming forward to help the process. This one small effort can and will have profound effects on the future. In the next few years, we will see marked changes in how people interact, what they accomplish and the ease of which it will happen because we are all anticipating it.

If you really want to be helpful, take action on the part of the party, then we need signatures to get the Independent Party on the ballot. Here’s how you can help.

Harvest Moon Effect

Perhaps the Harvest Full Moon effect…

Transformational Life Coaching is a lifestyle that continually causes me to go deep, especially in the mornings when I have my first cup of coffee. It is a time for reflection, considering the implications of my Zen Calendar quotes for the day and sharing tasty tidbits that flow from my fingertips with little effort.

So the stream of consciousness this morning has led to an interesting response I made to a post elsewhere. As I finished it became apparent (at least in my own mind) that it would be good to share here. Some questions were asked, but they seemed cursory still and I offered some food for thought. Good points were made, but I felt critical questions were still not being asked, so I offered some.

What is the depth of our evolving experience the leads us to our next evo-leap? How do we explore our own consciousness with respect to the awareness that it is such a small sliver of a much greater reality? Subjective views are many and demonstrate the effects of long-term exposure to limiting belief systems, mostly based in polarizing conditions that have been presented through the various systems throughout history.

We have little understanding of universal laws and order, yet we also acknowledge that they exist. How do we transcend our limited and limiting thinking about this greater reality of which we are only beginning to explore, let alone understand? Many attempt to offer answers yet, imho, there are questions about our nature, our design and our capabilities that go unasked.

So many experiences are nonlinear and non-local, which we have no solid foundations to understand yet. The process of time, which the intelligence we seek to understand seems to have a greater command, gives us the opportunity to distill and observe from salient moments. Some of those moments, in my experience, have led to profound engagements in realms of consciousness rarely available and to-date remain inarticulable for the most part.

No fear is elicited, yet the frequency of said moments requires the release of all attachments to the physical form. That is nearly impossible for most experiencers. I suppose once one has an NDE (for lack of a better), it becomes a little easier, but by no means without some resistance. Opportunities are offered and doors open based on a couple of things; questions (after certain specifics of purpose are conveyed) and a willingness to ascend (a sensation that occurs during the process).

Regardless of how we think about the connection, imho, it is about our relation-ships no matter the material. How we relate to our being, our knowing and our particular personal and collective growth in understanding our consciousness. How have we been able to condense into these forms that cart us around from place to place? What drives us inward for answers? What drives us to explore our outer reality in an effort to find reflections and resonance from and with those inner discoveries? Hmmm….. 😉

Happy Times – A Love Story

Luba and Zen are Getting Married!

After a 20+ years apart and coming from different sides of the earth, Luba and I finally found each other last year. We think our story is rather inspiring, even magical. Perhaps you will, too. Maybe it will give you hope that your ‘one’ is on her or his way. The joy is indescribably delicious.

A few weeks before we met I had a dream of hugging a woman and feeling like we merged into one being. There was no visual, just the sensation. I’d never experienced that before and my dreams and/or visions of folks about to enter my life have been consistent throughout my life. The sensation was so present and powerful that I returned to visit it for almost a week, until it subsided.

I asked Luba to marry me within weeks of our first meeting after spending hours and hours together with magical overtones and virtually no hiccups. Without hesitation she said YES. We deliberated for months on setting a date. I was concerned that she didn’t think I was serious, so I surprised her, on the Spring Equinox, and took her to the City Clerk’s office to get our marriage license.

The Clerk got giddy at our love story, too, as we got our marriage license.

I don’t know if you found ‘the one’ for you in this life, but the preparation and wait is so worth it. Luba (which means ‘love’ in Russian) and I met through some circuitous and magically delicious circumstances. Both of us had been working on ourselves for years, going deep within our own psyches to find balance and centeredness in our personal lives. I think that is what has to happen before ‘the one’ can show up. We have to be personally happy with life as it is, period.

Our love story, in part…

I’d met a guy at an outdoor music festival through another friend. Brent told me about this Kundalini Yoga teacher training program he was in that was kickin’ his butt, and that he was graduating in two weeks. He invited me to his graduation a week later. It was on October 28th (2016) and I felt it important to be there. I thought it might be a perfect place to meet someone, if my dream had any significance.

When I first arrived I was surprised to hear someone yell out my name with excitement. It was woman who had been part of my discussion groups whom I hadn’t seen for a while, two days older and fellow Cancer. After reviewing time apart, she felt there was someone I needed to meet and urged me to join the group that was assembling.

Little did I know that Luba was graduating from the Kundalini Yoga teacher training program, too. Sometimes people are invisible until you are supposed to see them. I hadn’t even noticed her until she walked in front of me in the back of the studio as the ceremony was about to begin. There was no eye contact and yet my heart literally did a flip inside my chest when she walked past. I knew something was up.

I didn’t linger on the event as the ceremony began and eventually the graduates were called up, one at a time, to receive a certificate, a small plaque and then given the floor to share their ‘I Am’ statements. When it was her turn, I heard her name… “Ah, Russian,” I thought, “Cool!” I watched intently as she received her certificate and gave her statements. Her accent was indeed Russian, although she spoke perfect English.

Once everyone had their moment, some closing words were said and the ceremony was over. I had to introduce myself somehow, but I felt a bit shy. I released my fear (almost 60 and still shy) and stepped up to her, not realizing that everyone else had moved toward the front of the room. We were completely alone, like the heavens had just parted.

Our first meeting was so comfortable and familiar that it was a spooky cool, even though she asked me right away if I was ‘reading’ her because my gaze was a bit intense. I don’t blink much and apologized if I seemed intense. She wasn’t offended. In fact, she was intrigued. I found out later her heart was doing flip-flops, too.

It seemed only fitting that she would be from Russia as my life has been about creating harmony among people and planet. It was so perfect that she was from a country that supposedly is our arch nemesis. As I found out more, they really are not. Americans can be so short-sighted and unaware. But I digress…

Long story short, after a month seeing each other nearly every day, I invited her to move in (with her mother and son) in December. At nearly 60 (she was 48), I knew we would be in for some intense moments as we got to know each other as only living together would provide. Would our personalities coalesce or collide? I can only say it was magical, even a bit mystical. She teases me when I get teary-eyed still. Hey, a guy can be sensitive.

The spiritual paths we had traveled were apparently parallel. Within a few days of our meeting we’d spent many hours together sharing our stories and observing each other. The similarities were uncanny, down to the postures we had when relaxing and even the near inaudible sounds we made in response to events happening around us. The list she found on characteristics and traits of ‘twin flames’ (a male and female half of a divine relationship that is ONE) and the evidence of them was a little overwhelming and yet undeniable. One can dream, right? It came true for us.

Now this isn’t anything like the ‘you complete me’ kinda thing. We were complete within ourselves. We’ve done a lot of serious internal work. That’s why I thought the Kundalini Yoga graduation might be a good place to meet someone that would vibe with me. Our relationship has allowed us to share intimate secrets of how we think and feel about life, love and creation so tender and vulnerable few ever have the opportunity to experience.

We immediately thought the Autumnal Equinox would be the perfect time, but where? Our first thought was the top of Bell Rock near Sedona, AZ. Shortly afterward an old friend recommended someone and we made the journey up, got some amazing photographs, and realized it wouldn’t work for our witnesses. We were sore for days.

Ascent Accomplished – The View from atop the famous Bell Rock!

After a few other checks into other outdoor spots in the area we returned the idea of Bell Rock, only on a lower level. It would be easier for everyone and we could wear the special clothing of our choice. So September 22 it is… right around 1 pm (time of the actual equinox). We’re so excited!

The point of all this is that we know friends and relatives, near and far, might want to share the excitement with a gift. We talked about this for a while, neither one of us being real comfortable asking for things. That is changing as we empower each other to continue to rise to the occasion in our professional lives. She as an amazing piano teacher and leader in her musical community and me as author, coach, facilitator, radio co-host, web wizard of sorts working with the small business community.

So if you feel like honoring us with your gift, no matter how small it might be (we know folks have more pressing priorities), we’d be so blessed to receive it. We are so grateful for finding each other and beginning the second phase of our lives together as ONE.

btw… Rush is our favorite band, so the $2112 seemed appropriate. 🙂

A repeat and opportunity to contribute await…

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Do You Have a Plan?

Interesting question, eh? What kind of plan? A life plan? A personal development plan? A business plan? For the purposes of this article, we’ll be talking about the ultimate combination of passion and purpose – a business plan. This is a bridge between worlds.

A bridge between worlds? What does that mean?

Okay, so where do your brilliant business ideas or insights begin? Someplace other than the physical world, right? Regardless of the source, something has to be done to make them real, to make them tangible in the world. A business plan forces you to write things down, put into black and white the concepts and ideas to make them real.

That is a great piece of awareness, right? How do you do it? How do you write a business plan? Most people have never written a personal life plan, so how are they supposed to write a business plan. Of course they could hire someone. Most consultants changer thousands of dollars to write business plans. Is that an option for most people? Probably not.

Still, there are pages and pages of resources available with a simple Google search. Most of them are information on the components of a plan in outline form with some brief descriptions of what you need to put in the sections. Does that help you write it? Sometimes you can find examples in sample business plans. How do you craft YOURS, though?

Well, there are many classrooms that you can get the information, most of them with a cost involved. Still, you have to take the time to redefine your schedule in most cases. Do you have that kind of time. Some make it. I taught business plan writing classes for women and minority business owners. Some of them became very successful.

Surprisingly, the classes would start with 35-40 people in them and by the 10-week class was over there would be 6-8 left. That is a very high attrition rate. Great ideas don’t often find their way into a workable plan. Sometimes life events happen and the time devotion necessary to complete a plan just isn’t available. Some choose to devote whatever time is necessary.

Now, a decade or so later, I’ve taken the classroom workbook and re-written it so it walks you through the entire process independent of a time frame. You can do it when you have time. I deliver it over 10 weeks so that you are more apt to work on each module when you get it.

There is also a set of excel financials, spreadsheets that are integrated into a fill-in-the-blank workbook. You don’t have to create the formulas that produce the numbers you’ll need for acquiring investors or loans. Everything is already done for you. Pretty cool, huh?

Journey of Possibilities

Making Sense Common

Interviews are always an opportunity to share unexpected tasty tidbits about life and learning. Sheryl Sitts demonstrates her prowess as a great interviewer in this one. I appreciated the journey of possibilities with her.

What I find is that articulating experiences that have led to deep discoveries is like trying to explain quantum physics to a mathematically challenged redneck. It sounds far fetched and incredulous. Still, the effort is made to make sense common and I look for metaphors and/or other examples to illustrate points of order.

We, as humans, are evolving into a greater understanding of how connected we are with the reality we experience. Those experiences are only limited by our ability to let go of deeply embedded belief systems that impede our mind’s ability to cognate something new and unknown to date. How we ask for understanding also makes a difference; whether we are willing to emotionally risk being buffeted by a new experience is nearly akin to the fear of public speaking… even above the fear of death.

Education and intelligence only go so far, we have to be able to speak the language of the listener. There are so many labyrinths in the listening that speaking to them all is nearly impossible. And, with that, here’s the write up:

Zen Benefiel, MA, MBA, Best-Selling Author, Transformational Life & Leadership Coach, 2 Small Biz Guys Co-Host, Facilitator and more (www.ZenBenefiel.com) visits with host Sheryl Sitts (www.JourneyOfPossibilities.com) about his first clairaudient experience at 4, a near-death experience in his teens, and about shifting our vibrational frequency to connect more easily with other beings in our galaxy living at different planes of consciousness (and why there’s nothing to fear).

They relate Zen’s vast business expertise to the importance of meditation (finding a quiet place in whatever way you can), the power of getting in rhythm with the heartbeat of the Universe, blending this earthly existence with exploring other realities, using tones of the Solfeggio frequency, sexuality and anal probes, alien abductions and disclosure, and more! If you’re ready for a nice balance of earth and business talk with galactic exploration, you’ll enjoy this one!

Are We Decisive or Divisive?

Decisive – How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work

by Chip & Dan Heath… review by The Guys… Crib Notes by Ray Silverstein

Listen In On-Demand – > Click Here

Choices and decisions… Are we decisive of divisive? Given that we’re wired to act foolishly sometimes, how can we do better? If we can’t trust our guts, then what can we trust?

Get the Book on Amazon

Daniel Kahneman, a psychologist who won the Nobel Prize in economics for his research on the way the people’s decisions depart from the strict rationality assumed by economists.  He said we are quick to jump to conclusion because we give too much weight to the information that’s right in front of us while failing to consider the information that’s just offstage. The authors call this the “searchlight” effect.

When we begin shifting the spotlight from side to side, the situation starts to look very different. In essence, this is the core difficulty of decision making:  What’s in the spotlight will rarely be everything we need to make a good decision; we don’t always remember to shift the light.

This week The Guys talk about the Heaths’ book and processes that both hinder and hasten good decisions. The discipline exhibited by good corporate decision makers—exploring alternative points of view, recognizing uncertainty, searching for evidence that contradicts their beliefs—can help us in our families and friendships as well.  A solid process isn’t just good for business; it’s good for our lives.

Most of us rarely use a “process” for thinking through important decisions.  It’s hard to correct a bias in our mental processes just by being aware of it.  The only decision-making process in wide use is the pros-and-cons list.  This is commonly called the Ben Franklin.  It has its faults, but its advantage is that it’s deliberative.  Research in psychology over the last 40 years has identified a set of biases in our thinking that doom the pros-and-cons model of decision making.

According to the authors, there are four villains of decision making:

  1. Narrow Framing
  2. Confirmation Bias
  3. Short Term Emotion
  4. Over Confidence

The Guys discuss these villains and victors that overcome the variety of choices; decisions are revealed. The nature of each villain suggests a strategy for defeating it that comes in the form of an acronym: WRAP. You’ll have to listen to the show or download the crib notes below to get the meaning and more. The show covers each and offers examples of how to become a victor both in personal and professional environments.

Here’s just one of the examples:

In personal life, therapist Aaron T. Beck, the founder of cognitive behavioral therapy, advises that couples consciously fight the tendency to notice only what’s wrong.  To avoid that trap, he advises couples to keep “marriage diaries” chronicling the things their mates do that please them.  Beck cites research that 70% of couples who kept this kind of marriage diary reported an improvement in their relationship.  “All that had changed was their awareness of what was going on.  As in the marriage situation, our relationships at work are sometimes corrupted by negative assumptions that snowball over time. The same is true in the workplace!

When you assume negative intent, you’re angry.  If you take away that anger and assume positive intent, you will be amazed.

Year End 2016 – How are we doing?

How Are We Doing?

So many things have transpired this last year and my absence in posting is regretful. I’m warmed by the sharing of thoughts and inspiration to be change agents for the transformation of what I know as our ‘planetary civilization.’ References to it abound in indigenous cultures throughout the world, neglected by the ‘western thought’ that seems to be locked into the idea that we have ‘dominion’ over the Earth when, in fact, we are ‘stewards’ that have heretofore been diminished by the louder voices of capitalism and greed. We are all on the hero’s journey.

The Mayan Calendar, along with a half dozen others at least (Aztec, Chinese, Egyptian, Hindu, Hopi, Sumerian) portrays this time as one of the emergence of consciousness. According to some references, there is a 50-year window as we shift from the Piscean to the Aquarian age. It began in August of 1987 with the Harmonic Convergence, reached the apex at the Winter Solstice of 2012 and proceeds to 2037 where, perhaps, we enter a Type 1 Civilization on the Kardashev scale. Others portray it from their POV; Aurobindo, Ballard, Blavatsky, Blanchard, Campbell, Keys, Maynard, Maxwell, Marx-Hubbard, Scharmer, Senge and countless more.

Simply put, we have a rise in awareness (personal/planetary/professional) that leads to understanding holistic systems (ego to eco or ego to wego) and an ability/capacity to extend that awareness back into the existing systems, which is the second phase occurring after the 2012 Solstice. The first few years are obviously a little wonky as we grapple with articulating and implementing this understanding. The co-presencing activity process and u.lab fits this scenario well. In this scenario, it doesn’t matter what is happening off-planet. We can only deal with what is in front of us here, now. How we do that is critical, an imperative notion to become ONE in the diversity present.

Analysis paralysis can and does stifle the process. Imho, we seek FLOW… like Csikszentmihalyi’s Psychology of Optimal Experience – what is it? How do we determine it? Does it come from a place that naturally resides within us, like Otto states about the co-presencing; or, but it’s all around if we could but perceive, as Graeme Edge states. Symptomatic notions are indeed in process of transformation as we continue to find solidarity in discussions about NOW and its effect on the future. Deep listening only matters when we are asking the right questions, first.

We are engaged in a state of self-actualization and self-realization simultaneously – a work-in-progress mirrored by our outer realities. If we question where we are, a quick look in front of us will give us amazing answers. Even as I type, my thoughtmosphere expands to include a repleteness of infinite intelligence working behind the scenes, the unseen hand that we all know and experience as serendipity and synchronicity in our lives… driven by the desire to be ONE in an individuated form, a perfect thread in the tapestry.

Observation is a reflection of lens we look through, whether we choose to see connection or discord is up to us. If everything is connected and we see discord, then perhaps we see need to see with new eyes and speak with a new voice. Granted, the most challenging place to be is connected and silent. There is an old adage… to know, to dare, to do and to be silent. In a state of ultra-connectedness, the ‘voice’ of one can and does emote through others.

Perhaps the indefensible thoughts of others are what is coming up now as we witness the world in change and become the re-framers of conversations toward things that matter. It seems there are so many attempting to say the same thing and so few recognizing and weaving them together as reflections of the process. So long ago, in a state of oneness and yet individuated, there was a sense of unanimity that I’ve sought to share my entire life. What I see now, some 40 years later, are those who also have such a notion that it exists and can be experienced in the physical world today.

Can we see with one eye? Can we feel with one heart? Can we think with one mind? Can we live as one on Earth? I believe the answer to each question is a resounding ‘YES’ and we all are contributing to that circuitous process. I also think we need to imagine ourselves as more than human, at least in the limited sense we seem to want to engage. Just my two sense. 😉

Holistic Imperative

Holistic Imperative?

Openness and vulnerability are often misunderstood. I may be completely off track here, but there seems to be a reticence toward openness and vulnerability across theperspection dynamics of human relationships. The concerns for acceptance, safety and security appear to be at the root of this resistance. I don’t think I’m alone in this regard as I’ve had many private discussions that support this observation.

How do we move beyond the boundaries of self-inflicted separation when we profess to believe that a holistic perspective is imperative in the world today?

From corporate conundrums in workplace learning and performance to political postulates for serving the needs of society to religious rhetoric meant to free our souls’ purpose to manifest in our daily lives… it’s a full stop when simple and obvious questions arise. The truth seems to be always less than full disclosure.

What is?

How do we first find and then share truth without spending decades or millennia arguing about it? Can we just acknowledge ‘what is’? Great question… what is?

We, as a world, are faced with some very important choices as we seek to transform our past profit-driven and less than human friendly decisions into creating a world that makes sense. Life-friendly choices are muddled by cash flow projections, personal liabilities, professional limitations and excuses for not acting in accordance with what we profess to believe – our ability to act in love and with mindfulness.

Openness and vulnerability are key elements of asking poignant and powerful questions.

Too often that love is conditional, with expectations that are neither spoken or fulfilled because of our inability to articulate the wisdom we hold as spiritual beings in human form. There isn’t one religion that denies that we are indeed manifestations of some greater intelligence. So where is that intelligence showing up now?

Leadership

Across the gamut of world government and resource management (human and material) we are experiencing a call for transformation toward something more harmonious, a movement toward telling the truth and working with ‘what is’ rather than hidden agendas and excuses for irresponsible actions.

What I find confusing is the apparent indignation of ‘authorities’ who we’ve looked to for leadership. Instead of revealing a reality that we can all agree is true, there are countless backroom meetings to figure out how to subvert the population into a manageable mass that remains uninformed and even unconscious to their own capability and potential as human beings. This behavior completely denies the human spirit and the possibility of acknowledging that we are spiritual beings at all.

So how do we transform our world even when our leadership is resistant to the changes that are obviously needed to guide our planetary civilization forward?

Answers

I don’t have all the answers. I may not have any of them. But, I suspect that many across the world are getting fed up with being diagnosed, labeled and accused of being unrealistic. I also perceive that the multitudes of finger-pointers and whistle blowers are affecting the population, but not necessarily in the best way possible.

Exposing the truth often causes a rise in anger and frustration that, unchecked, can lead to even more catastrophic behavior. The nature of attention commits energy to flow toward the object(s) of focus. We know that well now, especially with the proliferation of the Law of Attraction. So far, it seems the focus is still on personal satisfaction.

Questions

  • Where is our focus?
  • Are we looking outside of ourselves for validation?
  • Do we look to the skies or on the ground for answers?
  • Do we look deep within for help from a higher source?
  • Do we propose new possibilities for using our skill sets to better mankind?
