Personal and professional plans require a lot of investigation, inner and outer, in order to craft them with some order. They can be small or large, depending on the person’s ability to create a vision for their life and/or work. Sometimes the two become one through creating deliberately. I’ve admittedly had a very large vision. I’m sure some might even believe it to be a bit incredulous.

I founded a company back in January of 1988 to encourage growth and maturation of business and spiritual principles into something beyond both. I hoped that someday Be The Dream would be synonymous with the ability to put people, places and things together with a capacity to change the world, facilitating harmony among people and planet as a result. Brief Narrative & Overview of Plan

The condensed version of the Plan includes several areas of focus. Personal leadership development continues through a doctoral program, receiving funding for Spectrum Academy, building an empowered ‘Dream Team’ for Spectrum Academy and Genesis II, and webmeistery for the continued development of the Be The Dream web presence. Notoriety within the fields of education, youth treatment programs, and community development comes through persistent determination in delivery of results and networking throughout the spectrum of organizations that concern themselves with empowering youth and developing future sustainable communities.

Initial Do Diligence

Do diligence to date includes acquiring a Master of Business Administration focusing on business development and project management, secondary teaching certification through the University of Phoenix, and now completion of a Master of Arts in Organizational Management. Articles of Incorporation for Be The Dream, as a 501 (c) (3) corporation, are written and ready to submit. The intention is to use the organization to develop and implement strategies for paradigm shifts in the application of ecological, psycho-spiritual, and scientific technology through development of model communities that reflect the practice. Spectrum Academy’s business plan, as the initial project, needs final edit and revision using feedback from multiple sources.

The launch of Be The Dream as a non-profit makes a larger scope of funding resources available to access. Part of the missing pieces of a better picture includes the bridging of non-profit and for profit worlds. Spectrum Academy, sponsored by the non-profit Be The Dream, includes three business units, a charter school, residential treatment center, and community technology center. Intrinsic to the nature of education and treatment, the non-profit status is important. These institutions do not produce revenue; they prepare the way for productive citizenry. The CTC, however, is expanded to include a data center for collection, storage, and distribution of various educational software packages normally overwhelming the cost of education in charter schools, community colleges, and correctional institutions.

Acquiring authorized site licensing from software authors and development companies greatly reduces the costs to the Association of Charter Schools, in Arizona and across the U.S., through the intranet access capacity. After nearly a decade and a half, many things have changed and transformed, but the basic plan is still under way. Since that time, I’ve had the opportunity and accepted the challenge of compiling and presenting several other avenues for expanding and supporting the original plan for creating a movement toward harmony among people and planet through becoming a possibilities coagulator, putting people, places and things together both in reality and virtually, providing some foundation and models for future developments. The following chart illustrations the activity in rough form.

Now that Social Media has entered the fray, the opportunities and perturbations continue to manifest nearly beyond my ability to keep up with them. In contemplating the roll out of a change in the organizational structure of a country there are some very simple, albeit challenging, processes involved. Traditionally movements stem from an individual or small collective of dedicated individuals. Today, many are capable and willing to initiate change themselves. Across the country, small groups of people are gathering to share their skillsets as they collaborate toward building better communities and eventually a nation, perhaps even a world.

As a strategist with a background in project and organizational management, I’ve had a passion and penchant for putting people, places and things together to do some pretty cool stuff. I’ve had some success in a variety of industries: aerospace; building, road and bridge construction; education; entertainment; special events and more. I’ve found happy people with the right tools and training get more done with less supervision.

I’m going to dive in to talking about the nuts and bolts of progressive change management. How we do that is up to each one of us and our willingness to step up to the challenge. Fearlessness in the face of challenge is a key factor; not that we ignore the potential risks, but we develop plans and strategies that eliminate the potential risk by making them so profoundly logical that the sense made common naturally removes all concerns. That takes a lot of preparation, applying knowledge and understanding of the hard and soft skills of organizational management.

On a practical political no-nonsense level, the results are driven by developing support for those who (by their demonstration) have proven moral and ethical behavior beyond question in their communities.
